We believe that sports leadership and volunteering is an extremely valuable instrument in creating confident, well rounded young people.

Pupils follow a pathway from 5 to 18 years of age, developing their leadership skills and the level of responsibility as they progress. We deliver a number of different initiatives such as PE chiefs, Leadership Academy and Young Ambassadors as well as a number of National Governing body awards. The network also provides opportunities for students to put what they have learnt into practice, with at least 75% of the workforce made up of young leaders at network events.  PE Chiefs is a valuable resource we

have developed to enable primary

schools to record and reward pupils

who have spent time volunteering

 and leading.

The Leadership Academy is an

opportunity for the Network's most able

and committed leaders to come

together to further develop their

knowledge and understanding.

Young Ambassadors are placed in each

secondary school and come together

to provide further opportunities for

young people to take part in sport

and promote London 2012.
